David Püschel has been advising and defending both individuals and companies in commercial and tax criminal proceedings since 2017.
His main areas of expertise include criminal labour law, criminal insolvency law and criminal corruption law. In addition, he also regularly acts in general criminal law, in particular when it comes to active defence in the main proceedings before local courts (criminal judges and lay assessors' courts) and regional courts.
For example, he has defended a CEO against allegations of breach of trust and delay in filing for insolvency, a managing director against allegations of with holding and misappropriation of remuneration and tax evasion and a member of the judiciary against allegations of bribery, breach of trust and tax evasion. In addition, David Püschel regularly handles professional and disciplinary law cases. Examples include the defence of a tax consultant against allegations of commercial activity and the defence of a civil servant against allegations of a breach of political fiduciary duty.
In 2023, David Püschel was recognised by Wirtschaftswoche as a "Top Lawyer for Commercial Criminal Law" and was also recommended in 2023 by Handelsblatt in cooperation with Best Lawyers as a lawyer for the areas of "Commercial Criminal Law" and "Criminal Tax Law".
